Preparation is key to successful painting.
Most manufacturers paint can be tinted to any color using codes, swatches, or small flat surfaced objects that will fit on a computer color matching system.
I use only quality paints. I prefer Benjamin Moore Paints. However, I allow customers to use whatever brand they prefer.

The walls and ceilings in Victorian houses were made using plaster. With plaster, It is best to prime the surface with a good oil based primer. I used Zinser "Odor Free" oil based primer.
There are a lot of defects on the older plaster walls. I use a shrink free spackle to repair defects, sand then prime the surface with a uniform coating of oil base primer.
The wall paint used here is "Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior" Flat Sheen.
This is a color called "Natural Linen".

This is what the old paint looked like.

The bedroom was painted with Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior Flat Sheen. "Natural Linen"
Below, a doorway into the adjacent room (to the left) was blocked off with drywall.
Here is more of this room.
Below is the room adjacent to this bedroom that was painted using the same product and color.
Below is the last bedroom on this floor.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below is the 2nd floor hallway. The staircase walls and ceiling were also in need of painting.
I used Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior Flat with a color called "Snowbound" on the walls.
The trim under the staircase on the left used "semigloss" in the same color. The wall to the right used a "flat" sheen.
Below is the first floor living room. The wood trim around the windows darkened the room too much so it was primed then painted.
I used Zinser "Odor Free" oil based primer on the walls and ceiling. The walls were then painted with Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior Flat Sheen using a color called "Panda White".
I used Benjamin Moore Ultra Flat Ceiling Paint
The old chandelier (above) was replaced with the one hanging below.
The trim around the windows was also primed and painted to brighten up the dining area.

Benjamin Moore Aura Matte "Carriage Red" was used on this conference room wall.
Proper Surface Preparation
I like using a flexible shrink free spackle for nail and pin holes.

Some bathrooms have high ceilings.

High ceilings with chandeliers
High Walls
I do some light installations if the wiring is in place.
This home had some remodeling in the kitchen done.
I painted the ceilings and walls in both areas.
This house had vaulted ceilings and interconnected rooms.
This hallway originally had wallpaper. Rather than destroy the walls removing the wallpaper. I spackled the seams, primed, then painted the walls.

The carriage house below used Benjamin Moore Aura Matte Interior "Pomegranite Red" and, Regal Select Flat Interior "Medium Gray" in the main stairwell.
I prefer using quality paints that make application a little easier. The Benjamin Moore paint; AURA AF-295 Pomegranite is exceptional for reds, offering excellent hiding as well as minimal brush marks when cutting in.
The complimenting gray paint used was Ralph Lauren Parched Teak.
Contrast is achieved using red, white, and gray against the "smoke gray" hardwood floors.
The mirror effect from the billiard table compliments the color scheme.
The kitchen area has plenty of daylight to brighten the room. Benjamin Moore Regal Select 2145-30 "Brookside Moss" is the color.
The master bathroom used Benjamin Moore Regal Select 1147 "Butterscotch Sundae".
The master bedroom used Benjamin Moore Regal Select 1147 "Butterscotch Sundae" and 1040 "Spice Gold".
The following rooms were painted using a scrubbable paint with a satin sheen. It takes paint about 30 days to cure. The coating can be cleaned without damaging it after fully cured.
The back wall of the master bedroom is done with a light chocolate color, and, blue on both sides of it.
This is a small take-off in the master bedroom in the same colors. The lighting changes the appearance of the color.
